GROSS AREA: 170,000 SF
DESCRIPTION: Structural design of a new Regional High School located on a portion of Matthies Park property in Beacon Falls. The new multi-story steel-framed high school is supported on spread footings. The lateral system consists of moment frame in conjunction with masonry shear walls. The new school is anchored by a two-story multimedia center, the building includes traditional classrooms, flex spaces, gymnasium, auditorium, indoor pool and outdoor athletic facilities. Macchi Engineers also performed the construction administration and special inspection services.
