PROJECT DURATION: 2002 – 2007
DESCRIPTION: Performed the predesign study, structural and civil design services for the conversion of an existing automobile dealership building into a new academic performing arts facility. The original building area was approximately 76,000 S. F. with major renovations consisting of the removal of several roof areas and replacement with new, partial removal of load bearing walls, ramps, slab infills, construction of non-load bearing walls, construction of a new addition and site retaining walls. Site work included improvements to the 7.1 acre campus involving the design of new parking areas, access drives, utility upgrades and drainage improvements. Project included a Traffic Impact Study, landscaping, additional utilities including water and fire services and coordination with MDC. Project also involved capped contaminated soil and provided restrictive use covenant mapping. Provided construction administration and inspection, and special inspection servic
