DESCRIPTION: Macchi Engineers provided the civil site design for a new 99,000 SF medical arts and ambulatory surgical center. Design of site layout, grading, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, retaining walls and utilities including sanitary sewer, water mains and storm drainage. Also prepared DEP permit applications and construction administration and site inspections.

Civil/site development included a 314-car parking lot to service UCONN'S new Medical Arts and Research facility. The design of all utilities, and detention and erosion control systems. Considerations were taken for pedestrian access and safety to and from the main facility.
