DESCRIPTION: Macchi Engineers performed the structural and civil design for the new 1,100 foot long walkway that extends from the Bulkeley Bridge to the Boathouse site along the Connecticut River. A particular importance was the design considerations to maintain the existing dike during construction. The project also involved modifications to an existing drainage outfall and the development of the Boathouse site including site walls, extension of utilities and reconstruction of parking lot.
