DESCRIPTION: This Design-Build Project included the investigation, structural design and construction inspection of a new precast concrete, 4-level, 140- car municipal parking structure. The garage is constructed of precast concrete with a “stepped “ brick panel façade (shown here) to reflect the local architecture as well as to conceal the sloping ramps. The garage has two enclosed stair towers, one elevator, a forced ventilation system, and a dry pipe sprinkler system. The foundation and lateral systems were designed to resist seismic and soil loads.
Interesting Feature; The garage was constructed between two existing buildings with a 30 ft grade difference.
