DESCRIPTION: Expansion of the existing University Dining Facility included the structural and civil design of a new 10,000 SF steel-framed addition with a moment framed lateral system, and 24,000 SF of renovations to the existing building. The new construction consisted of tight site constraints that required creative foundation solutions. Macchi Engineers also performed all related civil and site work including new walkways, drainage, utilities and loading dock.
