DESCRIPTION: Structural design totaled 243,00 SF of new additions and modifications to existing school structure. New steel-framed, 84,000 SF addition with foundation system consisting of a series of steel pipe friction piles. Modifications to existing building included removal of bearing walls and installation of new stairs.

The site development portion of the project included civil design of utilities and grading for new parking areas, sidewalks and a new front entrance / drop off. In addition, a new synthetic track and multi purpose field, tennis courts and two baseball fields were included in the project. The project was located along a tidal river along the Long Island ound and required DEP permitting for bank stabilization and to provide a boat launch area for public use.
